Hey! I’m Tine Pufič, but most people in the fishing world know me as Don Pufa.
I’ve been hooked on fishing since I was a kid. It all started on freshwater ponds with a float and slowly evolved into bottom fishing, trolling, eging, and finally shore jigging — the technique that completely captured my heart.
You could say I’ve already done my degree in fishing. Actually, I might already be writing my PhD thesis on jigging from the rocks.
I’m not a marine biologist or a TV presenter. I’m just a passionate land-based angler who has spent countless hours exploring Croatia’s coastline, especially around Šolta, Dugi Otok, Pag, and Vis, learning how fish behave, where they hunt, and how to target them using nothing but a rod, reel, and a jig.
Why “Don Pufa”?
In high school, everyone called me Pufa. Since I’ve always been a big fan of mafia movies and books, my friends started calling me Don, and it stuck. That’s how Don Pufa Fishing was born.
If you love the coast, adventure, and hard hits from serious fish, then you’re in the right place.
Let’s keep the lines tight!
Fishing, for me, isn’t just about catching fish.
It’s about connecting with nature, discovering hidden spots, sharing the experience with others, and pushing your limits both physically and mentally.
That’s why I started my YouTube channel, my guided trips, and now this website — to share what I’ve learned, help others experience this incredible method, and keep the fire for shore jigging alive.
Check out my YouTube channel for real shore jigging action, catches, gear, spots, and stories straight from the rocks.
