On my latest fishing trip to Egypt, I had the opportunity to properly test don PUFA Fishing jigs in the Red Sea, and I have to say they exceeded my expectations.

BLUE FEVER – The very first cast produced a fish! The jig tempted a beautiful emperor fish of around 5 kg. Its action is incredibly natural yet aggressive at the same time, which clearly translates into fish response. Later, I had several more strikes on the same jig, but unfortunately a stronger fish managed to break me off after the fourth hookup. Definitely one of the most effective jigs of the entire trip.

ŠOLTA HUNTER – Although tested in a completely different environment from the Adriatic, the Šolta Hunter immediately proved itself with two brutal strikes. Unfortunately, both fish managed to reach the coral and escape, but the reaction was instant. The jig has an outstanding flash and a very enticing action in the water.

DENTEX DREAM – At sunset, I decided to switch to the Dentex Dream, and it turned out to be the right choice. The jig delivered a nice tunny, but what impressed me the most was the color combination itself. The white belly combined with the pink back is an absolute killer during sunset conditions.

DON PUFA KILLER – To finish the trip, I tied on the Killer. Once again, it didn’t disappoint and quickly got a strike. Unfortunately, after several previous battles, my fluorocarbon leader was already too damaged to land the fish successfully.

After the entire trip, one thing stands out above all: all of these jigs have incredible action and tremendous fish appeal. The fish reacted extremely quickly, which means a lot when shore jigging in such demanding terrain. I can’t wait for the next test session.
